Pressure to decide right now is a red flag, whether it comes from a salesperson or a friend.

RESILIENCE
Urgency is the cheapest tool for getting a yes you would not otherwise give. A real opportunity usually survives a night of thinking, so when someone insists it cannot, they are telling you something about the offer rather than about the clock. That rushed feeling works the same way when a stranger with a clipboard creates it and when somebody you like does.
Have one sentence ready and use it every time: I need to think about it, I will tell you tomorrow. Watch what happens next, because the reaction is informative. Anything that falls apart under a day of consideration was not going to be good for you.
Who pushes you to answer before you have thought it through?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
