Asking for feedback is choosing to hear the truth early instead of learning it the hard way.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Feedback is information you can collect early or receive later as a result. Asking means hearing something slightly uncomfortable while there is still time to act on it. Not asking means finding out through the grade, the review, or the job that went to someone else, when the only thing left is to absorb it. The content is similar and the timing is everything.
Ask one person this week for something specific: what would make this stronger, or what should I do differently next time. Resist defending yourself while they answer, and write it down instead. Change one thing they mentioned and come back.
Would you rather hear it now or discover it later?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
