You cannot protect every possibility and still build one reality.

Keeping every possibility alive and building something real are incompatible. A reality is made by narrowing, by putting weight on one option and letting the others go, and that closing is not loss so much as the price of having anything solid. Nothing gets built out of preserved potential.

Name one possibility you have been protecting that you do not intend to use. Let it go on purpose rather than by expiry. The relief usually arrives faster than you expect, and the freed attention goes somewhere.
