Telling the truth on a job application about what you don’t know yet is braver than bluffing and safer too.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Bluffing does not remove the problem, it moves it to your first week, where it costs far more and in front of people who are now relying on you. Writing down what you cannot yet do, next to what you can, gives somebody a readable offer instead of a guess. Most people hiring at this level are looking for somebody trainable rather than somebody finished.

List three things you can genuinely do, one thing you have touched a little, and one thing you would want teaching on. That last line does more good than a padded claim.
