The new kid getting shoved in the locker room will remember who stepped in, and who just watched.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Bystanders feel invisible and are not. From the floor, the room is perfectly legible: who moved, who looked away, who laughed and who went quiet. None of that is said as an accusation against anybody frozen in a doorway, because freezing is common and understandable. It is just how the moment gets stored by the person it happened to.

If you can, any of these counts: one short sentence, getting them out of the room with you, or telling a coach afterwards. You do not have to pick the bravest option available.
