Posting your art for the first time is terrifying because it’s honest. That’s also why it’s worth posting.

Art shows your taste, your attention and what you find beautiful, which exposes more than being judged on skill does. Technique can be defended; preference cannot. That is why the first post feels out of proportion to what you are actually doing. It is also the reason the work is worth putting up, because the honest part is the only part that reaches anybody.

Post one piece this week without the apologetic caption. No long explanation, no list of its faults. Let it stand on its own, then start the next one.
