Sending the text you’ve been rewriting for an hour is a small risk. Not sending it is a small regret that grows.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
An hour of rewriting is not improving the message, it is hunting for a version with no risk in it, and no such version exists. Past the second draft you are mostly deleting whatever was true. Meanwhile the unsent one keeps charging you attention, and leaving it unsent turns into a small regret that grows a little every time it crosses your mind. The message is almost certainly fine.
Allow yourself two drafts and a time limit. Read it once for tone, send it, then put the phone somewhere else and do something with your hands.
Which message have you rewritten more times than it deserves?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
