Wanting to quit after the first week of something new is normal. Give it a month before you decide.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

The first week of anything is the worst ratio you will ever get: maximum confusion, minimum skill, and no sense yet of why anyone likes it. Judging the activity from inside that week means judging it at its least representative. A month in you are still not good, but you can see the shape of it and whether you want more. Early misery is information about beginnings, not about the thing itself.

Commit to four weeks up front, before you start, so the decision is already made when week one is grim. Then decide properly at the end of the month.
