It’s not about being bold every day. It’s about not letting fear make your big decisions.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Courage is not a daily temperament, and treating it as one is exhausting. Nobody needs to be bold about breakfast. What matters is a handful of moments a year, the ones that set direction: what you try out for, who you stay close to, whether you say the thing. Fear is allowed in the room for those, it just should not be holding the pen.

Make a short list of the decisions ahead of you that would still matter in five years. Those are the ones worth slowing down for, and worth asking whether you are choosing or only avoiding. Let the small stuff stay small.
