Good art leaves a question in your head after it ends. Ask yourself what yours leaves.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Work that answers everything is finished the moment it stops. Something unresolved keeps running in a viewer afterwards, which is why a scene you cannot settle stays with you for days while a tidy one evaporates. That is not the same as being vague on purpose, since vagueness leaves nothing behind and a real question needs enough specifics to be asked. Be clear about the situation and quiet about the verdict.

Look at your most recent piece and ask what somebody would still be wondering a minute later. If the answer is nothing, find where you explained too much and take the explanation out.
