Routines are personal equipment, and copying somebody else’s rarely transfers. Early mornings work for people whose minds are clear then, late nights work for people whose minds go quiet then, and neither schedule is the source of anybody’s work. Borrowing the ritual without the person usually just adds guilt. What you need are your own reliable conditions.

Track for a week when you actually make things, not when you intended to. Look for the pattern in the hours that worked. Protect one of those slots on purpose and stop apologising for the rest.
