Leaving the shift notes clear for the next person is a quiet kind of leadership.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Leadership gets imagined as being in charge, and most of it is actually reducing confusion for other people. A clear handover note costs five minutes and saves somebody an hour of guessing, and doing it unasked changes how a place runs more than any title would. Nobody will thank you in the moment. The work still arrives where it was needed.
Leave one clear note at the end of this week: what happened, what is outstanding, what to watch. Write it for somebody who was not there. Keep doing it for a month and notice who starts doing the same.
What would the next person need to know from you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
