Speed gets you noticed. Accuracy gets you kept.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being fast is visible and therefore flattering early on, but accuracy is what keeps you in the job. Work that has to be checked, remade or apologized for costs the people around you more than slowness ever did, and they feel that long after they stopped admiring your pace. The combination gets built in the other order: correct first, then quick.

For the next week, aim for zero rework rather than a personal record. Pick the pace where you stop making the mistake and hold it. Let the speed come back on its own, which it will, once the accuracy is no longer a choice.
