A boy brought five rolls and two fish and didn’t ask how it would be enough. That part was not his job.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Nobody handed him the sums. He brought what he had and the question of whether it would stretch belonged to somebody else, which is the only reason he was able to bring it at all. Most people never contribute because they do the arithmetic first and talk themselves out of it. Working out whether your bit is enough is not the same job as offering it.
This week, hand over your part without calculating the outcome. Volunteer for the thing, send the money, make the offer. Let whoever is organising it worry about whether the total adds up.
Which part of the outcome is honestly not your job?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
