Pray for the kid who makes fun of you. You don’t have to trust them. Just don’t let them make you bitter.

GRATITUDE
Two things are being separated here, and the separation is what makes it possible. Praying for somebody who humiliates you does not mean trusting them, sitting near them, or giving them another chance to do it again. Safety and goodwill are different decisions. The reason to do it at all is largely yours: bitterness takes up residence quickly, and it ends up shaping how you treat everybody else.
Keep your distance where you need to this week. Also, once, ask for something good for them. You are protecting yourself, not excusing them.
Who has mocked you in a way that is turning you sour?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
