The shepherds were the first to hear about the birth of Jesus. God sent the big news to the night shift.

GRATITUDE
The announcement went to the men working outdoors in the dark. Not to the palace, not to the officials, not to anybody whose testimony would have been taken seriously in a dispute. People on the night shift are usually the last to be told anything, and here they were told first. That ordering is not an accident, and it says something about who gets taken seriously and who actually gets trusted with the important thing.
If you work unsociable hours, stop treating it as a lesser part of your life. If you do not, notice who is working while you sleep this week and thank one of them.
Which overlooked people in your town would you trust with good news?
