God opposes pride because pride is just trying to be your own god on a smaller budget.
GRATITUDE
WHAT THIS MEANS
Pride is not mainly about boasting. Underneath it is an attempt to run everything yourself, with your own judgement as the final authority, which is an ambitious job description for a person with your amount of information and energy. The objection to it is not that it is rude. It is that it does not work, and the person attempting it ends up exhausted and strangely alone.
Ask for help once this week in the area where you are most reluctant to. Then take advice you did not agree with and act on it anyway.
