You can pray angry. The Psalms are full of people who did, and God kept their prayers in the book.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Anger is not disqualifying, and the sanitized version is the dishonest one. The old prayers are full of people shouting, accusing, asking how long this is going to go on, and nobody tidied those up before they were kept. Arriving composed when you are not composed just means you have brought somebody else to the conversation. Whether or not you share that belief, saying the true thing beats saying the acceptable one.

Say the angry version this week, out loud or on paper. Do not edit it into something presentable first.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What anger have you been editing out of your prayers?
