Love shows up most clearly as transport. Somebody answered, got in a car, drove to wherever you were and asked nothing on the way home, which is a harder kind of care than anything they could have said. No questions is the part worth noticing, because being collected without an interrogation is rare and it is what made it safe to call.

Tell that person you remember it. Then say plainly to one friend that you are that number for them, and keep your phone where you will hear it.
