Some chapters end because rereading them stopped teaching you anything.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
A chapter closes not always because something went wrong, but because you have taken everything it had to give. You can tell by how the same memories, the same arguments, the same familiar loop produce no new understanding no matter how many times you turn them over. That flatness is information. It means the lesson has been learned and what remains is only the habit of returning.
Notice which stories you tell yourself on repeat and ask what each retelling actually adds. If the answer is nothing, you have permission to set that one down without deciding it was a mistake or a waste. Let the ending be quiet rather than dramatic.
What do you keep going over that has nothing left to teach?
