Turning a faucet and getting clean water is something a huge number of people on earth still don’t have. Drink up.

A tap is the end of a system most people never think about. Reservoirs, treatment, pipes, pressure, testing and somebody on call at three in the morning all exist so that clean water appears instantly, at the temperature you want. Enormous numbers of people spend hours a day on this problem.

Drink a glass today while actually thinking about where it came from, which takes thirty seconds. Then find out one real thing: where your water is drawn from, or who runs the system. Knowing that converts a tap from background into something you can be glad about.
