The best gift you can give a tired parent is not having to ask twice.

Asking twice is more tiring than doing the job. The first ask is a request; the second is a negotiation, and it arrives with the knowledge that a third will probably be needed. What wears a parent out is not the chores but the managing of them. Taking that step away is a larger gift than it looks.
This week, do the thing on the first ask, or before it. Trash, dishes, laundry, whichever one you already know is yours. Then notice how differently the evening runs when nobody had to chase anybody.
What has a tired parent asked you twice for lately?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
