Kids who move every couple of years sometimes envy people who got one hometown, boring parts and all.
GRATITUDE

Staying put has advantages that only appear by comparison. Somebody who moves every two years rebuilds everything repeatedly and never accumulates the long version of anything, which is why the boring sameness you complain about can look like wealth from outside. Having one place that knows you is not nothing. Its value is hard to see from the inside, because it is all you have known.
Having been in one town a long time, use the depth this week. Go and see somebody who has known you for years. And if there is a new kid around, you are the one who can shorten their first month.
What about staying in one town would you call boring?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
