Family gives you a beginning, not a complete definition.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Where you come from sets your starting vocabulary. The accent, the assumptions, the things treated as normal, the arguments you learned how to have, all of it arrives before you have any say. But a beginning is only the first chapter, and a great many people confuse it with the whole book. What you were handed is material, not a verdict.
Make a list of what you carry from your family and mark each item as kept, adjusted, or declined. Some things you will keep gladly. The exercise matters because it converts inheritance into choice.
Which family expectation have you outgrown without ever announcing it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
