Between one chapter and the next, there’s often a weird empty stretch. You don’t have to fill it right away.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
The gap between things is a real stage and almost nobody describes it. One thing has ended, the next has not started, and because the empty stretch has no name it gets read as evidence that you have fallen off the path. Nothing is wrong. You are simply between two structures.
You do not have to fill it immediately. Put two or three fixed points in the week so the days have edges, something early and something physical, and leave the rest genuinely open. Boredom is often where the next idea gets a chance to arrive.
Could you sit in an empty stretch without rushing to fill it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
