Your opinions at thirteen were built from videos and your uncle. You’re allowed to review them.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Views you hold from early on were assembled from whatever was nearby, and at thirteen that is a short list: a few relatives, a few channels, the people in your year. They are not stupid for that, they are just under-sourced. The problem is that opinions acquired that way feel like things you worked out rather than things you absorbed.

Take one position you are confident about and go and find the best case against it. Not a bad version to knock down, the strongest one you can find. Then decide again, which may well land you where you started.
