If you’ve changed and your friends haven’t noticed, tell them. People can’t update a version of you they never saw.

People do not run audits on each other. They carry the version of you they last had reason to update and respond to that, so a change you have worked at can be entirely invisible to somebody who sees you every week. Waiting to be noticed usually means waiting a long time and getting quietly resentful about it.
Say it once, plainly, to one or two people who matter. What you have been working on and what you want from them. Asking to be seen differently is fair, and nobody can update a version of you they were never shown.
Who still needs you to say out loud that you changed?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
