When everything else changes, keep one thing from home: a Sunday call, a breakfast, a song. Something familiar to stand on.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Too much novelty at once is exhausting, even when all of it is good. One unchanged thing gives your week a fixed point, and that point does a surprising amount of work: it tells you who you were before this, and it costs almost nothing to keep. Continuity is not the same as clinging.
Choose one small ritual from before and keep it on purpose through whatever is changing: the same call, the same breakfast, the same walk on a certain day. Make it something you can do badly and still count. Protect it even in a busy week.
Which small ritual from home would you carry anywhere?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
