Most people won’t tell you you’re intimidating. If nobody brings you ideas, that might be why.

LEADERSHIP
Few people will walk up and say they find you hard to approach, because that conversation is harder than simply avoiding you. The signal arrives as an absence instead: no questions, no half-formed suggestions, nothing brought to you until it is finished and safe. Silence around you is information, and it is very easy to read as agreement.
Look for what is missing rather than what gets said. Ask one person you trust what you are like to bring a bad idea to. Then make the small changes, such as asking before telling and waiting longer before you answer.
When did somebody last bring you an unfinished idea?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
