The truth becomes easier to find when you stop requiring it to make you comfortable.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Truth and comfort answer to different masters, and when you insist that a fact must also feel good before you will accept it, you have quietly made comfort the judge. That is why obvious things stay hidden from capable people for years. The information was available. The condition attached to receiving it was not survivable.
When you catch yourself resisting a conclusion, check whether your objection is about the evidence or about how the conclusion would feel. Say the uncomfortable version out loud once and see whether it holds. Most of the time the discomfort passes faster than the confusion did.
What truth have you avoided because it would not comfort you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
