Hard conversations get harder the longer you wait. Have it Monday, not after the tournament.

Waiting does not shrink a problem, it only adds the weight of everything that happened while you said nothing. By the time you finally raise it you are no longer talking about the one thing, you are talking about three weeks of resentment the other person did not know was building. Early is awkward and late is a much bigger conversation.

Name the one you have been putting off and have it before the week ends. Keep it to the single specific thing and leave the history out of it. Two uncomfortable minutes now is a trade worth making.
