Teach someone how you do the job, then let them do it differently. Different isn’t wrong.

LEADERSHIP
Teaching somebody your method and then requiring your method produces a copy, and copies are brittle. The way you do a job carries your particular habits, strengths and workarounds, and theirs will differ in ways that are sometimes better than yours. Different is not the same as wrong, although it tends to feel that way while you are watching it happen.
Show someone how you do something this week, then deliberately leave the room. Judge the result rather than the route they took. If their way holds up, go and learn it.
Whose different method did you correct when it worked fine?
