Wait for everyone’s permission and the club never starts. Need nobody and you’ll run it alone.

Two failures sit on either side of starting anything. Wait until everybody is comfortable and nothing ever begins, because somebody is always not ready, while refusing to involve anyone leaves you doing all of it alone by November. The thing has to start before consensus and still belong to more than one person.
If you have an idea, set a date and tell people rather than asking whether you should. Then hand out real pieces early, before it feels settled. Starting alone is fine, staying alone is not.
Would you rather start alone or never start at all?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
