Praise only the scorer and you’ll end up with a team where everyone just wants to score.

Whatever gets praised becomes what people chase, and that happens quickly and without anybody deciding it. Celebrating only the visible result teaches ten people that the pass, the block and the setup do not count, and then you have individuals competing for the same moment. You end up with the behavior you rewarded instead of the one you wanted.
Name one unglamorous thing after the next game or shift, specifically and in front of everybody. Choose what nobody would have thought to mention. Do it often enough that people start looking for it in each other.
