Nobody remembers the leader who never got criticized. They remember the one who heard it and actually changed.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Avoiding criticism is possible, and you do it by never attempting anything or never letting anyone tell you the truth. What people actually remember is the leader who was told something hard and visibly changed course, because that is rare and it proves that saying things to you works. The criticism is not the memorable part, the change is.

Think of a piece of feedback you have been quietly dismissing, and act on one part of it this week. Tell the person that is why you did it. Being changeable in public is worth more than being unblemished.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What criticism have you heard twice and still not acted on?
