Leaders run toward the problem before they’ve figured out whose fault it was.

LEADERSHIP
Fault-finding is slower than fixing, but it feels safer. When something goes wrong, the instinct is to establish that you are not the one who caused it, because being tangled in a mess is uncomfortable. Meanwhile the mess keeps growing, and everyone watching learns that the first move here is self-protection. Moving toward the trouble before the blame is settled changes what the whole group does next time.
When something breaks on your shift or at practice, make your first sentence about the fix. Ask what needs doing right now and start doing part of it. Leave how it happened for afterwards.
Which problem did you stand back from until blame was settled?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
