A team can survive a leader without answers. It can’t survive one who won’t make a call.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Not knowing is normal and a group can work around it, because they can help you find out. Refusing to decide is different: it leaves everyone holding their part, and the delay usually costs more than a wrong choice would have. Indecision tends to come from not wanting to be blamed, which is understandable and still expensive. A chosen direction can be corrected; a stalled one cannot.

Find the thing your group has been circling and settle it this week, even on partial information. Say what you picked and what would make you change your mind. Then move to the next thing.
