Scouts trade off carrying the heavy group gear. Sharing the load is how nobody quits on the trail.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Any group moves at the pace of whoever is struggling most, so leaving the heavy thing with one person is not even efficient. Swapping it round spreads the weight before anybody reaches their limit rather than after. It also clears out the resentment that builds quietly in whoever is carrying more and saying nothing. Shared jobs need rotating on purpose, since nobody volunteers to hand over the load.

Find what one person in your group is carrying more of, and take a turn this week. Set an actual rotation instead of relying on people offering. Ask whoever never complains how heavy it has been.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

When did you last take the heaviest share of something?
