Curiosity doesn’t need a reason. “I just wanted to know” is one of the best answers there is.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Not every interest has to be heading somewhere. Wanting to know is a complete reason on its own, and demanding a use for everything quietly shrinks what you allow yourself to look at. Plenty of things that turned out to matter were picked up by somebody who only wanted to see.

Let yourself chase one thing this month that has no bearing on anything. There is no need to justify it to whoever asks. Enjoying the knowing is the point, and it also happens to be a good way to remember it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What have you looked into for no useful reason at all?
