Negotiation is partly learning which disagreement is actually blocking progress.

REFLECTION
Negotiations often stall over several apparent disagreements when only one of them is actually load-bearing. The others are noise, positions taken for form, or issues that would resolve themselves once the central one moved. Identifying which is the real blocker changes where you spend your energy. Working every point equally is how conversations run for hours without progress.
When you are stuck, ask directly which item, if solved, would make the rest workable. The answer is often surprising. Solve that one and the remainder tends to fall in behind it.
