Look at where your money went last month. That’s what you actually value, whatever you say out loud.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stated priorities and spent money come apart more often than anyone likes. What you say matters describes who you would like to be; what the statement shows is a record of decisions made under tiredness and impulse. The gap is not hypocrisy. It is untracked drift, and drift only corrects once you look at it.
Add up last month in three or four rough categories, nothing elaborate. Then pick the one line that surprises you and halve it this month, moving that amount toward something you would defend out loud.
What would last month’s spending say you care about?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
