An eclipse feels like a big deal because it interrupts the normal sun. Notice the normal sun once in a while.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Interruption gets noticed, not importance. The sun does the actual work every day and goes completely unremarked until something briefly covers it, at which point everybody stands in the street and looks up. Attention is drawn by change, which means most of what keeps you alive runs in the background unthanked.
Pick one constant in your life that never gets mentioned: a person, a routine, a place you rely on. Give it ten real minutes this week, and say thank you if it happens to be a person.
What do you notice only when it goes missing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
