The point isn’t to be happy all the time. It’s to have a life worth the bad days.

REFLECTION
Constant happiness is the wrong target, because nothing can hold it and chasing it makes every ordinary low feel like a fault in the design. The better question is whether what you are building is worth the hard parts it costs you. A life can hold plenty of bad days and still be clearly worth having.
Think about whatever is costing you most right now and ask whether what it is for is something you actually want. If it is, the bad days are a price. If not, better to know that now.
What makes your hard days worth getting through?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
