What you regret tells you what you value. Use it as a compass, not a whip.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Regret is a reading on what matters to you. If what nags is the friend you dropped, it is pointing at loyalty. If it is the thing you never tried, it is pointing at courage. That information is genuinely useful, while the self-attack usually bolted onto it just drowns out the signal.
Take one regret and write the value underneath it in a word or two. Then do one small thing this week that lines up with that word, which is the only part of a regret you can actually use.
Where have you used guilt as punishment instead of direction?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
