Take a bus route you’ve never taken to the end of the line. Your town is bigger than your habits.

REFLECTION
Your sense of where you live is built from about six routes, repeated until they feel like the whole map. Everything off those lines exists, and you have simply never been there, which means your town is wider than your experience of it by a long way. Habit is doing the editing, not geography.
Ride a route you have never taken all the way to the end, then walk around for twenty minutes before coming back. Tell somebody where you are going, and keep the fare for the return trip.
When did you last take an unfamiliar route home?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
