Hindsight makes everyone look wise. Give your current self credit for doing it blind.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Looking back, every decision has an obvious right answer, because you now know how it turned out. You did not have that when you chose. Judging your past self with information that arrived afterwards is unfair in a way you would spot instantly if somebody did it to a friend. You were working blind, and that deserves some credit.

Take a decision you are embarrassed about and list only what you knew at the time. Judge it on that, and extend the same allowance to whoever else made a call you can now see was wrong.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Will you credit yourself for deciding without hindsight?
