You don’t remember the grade on your science fair project. You remember building it at midnight with your dad.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The mark on something is forgotten almost immediately, while the making of it is not. What stays is the kitchen table at midnight, the glue that would not set, somebody sitting up with you when they had work in the morning. The project was mostly a reason for two people to be in the same room.
If somebody at home offers to help with something this week, let them, even when it is slower than doing it alone. Years from now, the slow version is the one you will still have.
What do you remember from building something with your parent?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
