Families frame photos of people laughing together, almost never the perfect solo shot.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Look along a hallway of family photographs and the pattern is consistent: several people mid-laugh, badly framed, somebody blinking. The flawless solo portrait rarely makes the wall. What gets kept is evidence of being together, because that is what people want reminding of later, not how anybody’s face looked at nineteen.
That is worth knowing while you are the one taking the pictures. Get in the frame even when you do not like how you look today, and take the group shot nobody asked for. Those are the ones somebody will want in twenty years.
