Two languages means two sets of jokes and twice as many people you can make laugh.

REFLECTION
Having a second language is not simply a translation layer. Each one carries its own humour, its own insults, its own words for things the other cannot say efficiently, which means you are funny in two registers and at home in two sets of rooms. That is a wider life than monolingual people get, however ordinary it feels from the inside.
Use both this week rather than letting one go quiet. Make somebody laugh in the language you use less often, ring the relative who prefers it, watch a film without the subtitles on.
Which joke only works in one of your languages?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
