Disorder grows without permission; order usually requires someone to care.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Entropy does not require anyone’s approval. Rooms get messier, files multiply, systems drift, relationships thin, all without a decision from anyone. Order is the exception, and it exists only where somebody is deliberately putting effort in. That asymmetry explains why maintaining anything feels like swimming upstream. It is upstream.

Stop expecting anything to stay tidy on its own and put the upkeep somewhere in the week. Fifteen minutes on a schedule beats an occasional overhaul. The point is that someone has to care, regularly.
